One Second Song

Google Ads API use

One Second Song uses a private, internal tool to manage and measure search campaigns for its own music game.

Business and advertising

One Second Song is a free music guessing game for the web and iPhone, operated by Mark Gregor. The product has no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or ad-supported gameplay. We buy limited Google Search advertising to introduce people to the Daily game and the iPhone app.

The game does not display advertising. References to “no ads” on this site describe the player experience. They do not mean that One Second Song never buys advertising to promote the game.

Internal API tool

The tool works only with our own Google Ads manager and advertiser accounts. It has no customer-facing interface or public sign-in. No outside advertiser can access the tool, and we do not manage client accounts or resell Google Ads API access.

How we use the API

The tool supports reporting and campaign management for One Second Song:

Data and access

The tool uses aggregate Google Ads reporting for our own campaigns. It does not use Customer Match, remarketing, audience lists, advertising identifiers, or personal player data. API credentials stay in private server-side configuration and never ship in the web game or iPhone app.
